Our concept

The Sinallagma project: to make your daily life more pleasant and help preserve the environment by furnishing your living spaces with eco-designed structures.
Awareness of the social and ecological issues at stake, the driving force behind our approach

Our ambition?
To assume our originality by offering you outdoor architectural elements inspired by nature and built according to the principle of reciprocal structures. But also respects the commitments of a company with a mission. And to ensure that at every stage of production, our creations have a positive impact.
Our aim?
To take a reciprocal approach to benefits for our customers and the planet.
Our identity: reciprocal structures
Off the beaten track, Sinallagma has made the construction technique based on reciprocal structures its trademark.
Reciprocal structures are networks of linear elements where each part supports the next while being supported by the neighboring parts.
Our pergolas are designed on the principle of reciprocal structures:
it’s a traditional assembly system offering remarkable strength and stability. No nails, glue or screws
Leonardo da Vinci was one of its pioneers.
With reciprocal structures, small cross-sectional bars are all that’s needed to achieve long spans. This bold technical choice, which implies academic rigor and precision in the implementation, enables us to provide you with elegant structures of exceptional quality.

The cornerstone of this technique, reciprocity, is a fundamental concept for us.
So fundamental, in fact, that it inspired our name: SINALLAGMA.
A reference to the notion of “synallagmatic contract” used in law to evoke the mutual obligations that bind the signatories to an agreement, this name, Sinallagma, reflects our aspirations, the essence of our approach and the reciprocal pact that binds us to nature.

Our strategy: biomimicry
Defined by J. Benyus as the action of “drawing inspiration from living organisms to be “sustainable”, biomimicry is a promising concept of which we are fervent advocates. Our bet for greater harmony and resilience: natural materials, 100% recyclable.
Wood, a noble, local material
The load-bearing structures of our shading systems are made of wood.
Mostly chestnut, sourced from sustainably managed forests in Brittany.
A resistant material that requires little maintenance, generates no waste and can even regenerate the soil at the end of its long life…
A resource whose use is virtuous from an environmental point of view, therefore makes perfect sense in the context of our project.

Plants, essential partners
Indispensable to our ecosystem, plants are the source of the oxygen we breathe. But they are also synonymous with beauty. On the Sinallagma structures, flowers and foliage create harmonious colorful ensembles, all the while diffusing their coolness in summer… The shade becomes a cocoon of life and serenity…
